He is letting their relationship go. He doesnt necissarily want to do this, but he has to because he knows it's for the best for both of them. Metaphors and similes help give certain songs there own specific meaning. Not only is this quote the chorus of the song but its the basic idea Taio is trying to get across. By him saying this he is over exaggerating how much she means to him. Usage of metaphors and similes and other poetic devices help artists get the point across to what they're trying to say easier then actually full out explaining it, to me thats what makes a song a good song, it amkes it fun and more meaningfull. Some artist use metaphors and similes to try and relate to the listener.

Saying dont be scacred to let things progress and get exciting in the relationship, just let things happen. Analysis: In Ushers song "burn" he is explaing how he is in a relationship with someone. He no longer ahs feelings for this person and he needs to let her go because he doesnt want to hurt her. He says he loves her but he feels that the relationship is coming to an end. The metaphor in the song is "let it burn". He is trying to say just let it go. Even though it "burns" to stop the relationship and its hurting him he just feels its for the best.

Analysis: In the song Something you forgot by Lil Wayne he uses multiple similes. An example of this is when he is describing how he feels because he has lost the woman that was in his life. Lil Wayne says "pain, since i've lost you im lost too, feelin like he at the bottom like a horse shoe." He is speaking in first person to specify that its him feeling this pain, he is trying to tell the listner that he is feeling alone and has hit rock bottom and not important, like a lower class person in life. Wayne also says "god knows id do anything for a part two, or to be prayin for the day you come back to me saying that you forgive me, give me another chance, im needing it like a kydney." he's saying he needs another chance to prove her wrong, that he will do right by her. All he wants is a second chance because they were going to have a future together and he was going to marry her and they had a house together, and he is realizing by expressing this in a song that he wants all of those feelings back.
